transformers one (2024)

honestly don't have too much to say about this movie... probably because i'm not the target audience of the transformers franchise in the first place SORRY. i like mechs a lot but transformers don't really count..
however, i guess it was good for what it's trying to be, so i'll just leave a 8/10 and leave it at that... the movie was really really fun to watch, ideally do so with a friend

phantom of the paradise (1974)

lol... rly enjoyed the hyperbolic nature of this movie, it's really charming. an absolute fever dream of a movie, and i loved every second of it. the way it incorporates faustian themes into the 70s glam-rock world is soo fun. the deal-with-the-devil storyline feels classic but still completely fresh thanks to its over-the-top style and humor.

also the faust elements gave the film a timeless, almost operatic quality, while still feeling like something only phantom of the paradise could pull off. it’s campy and bold and it’s unforgettable (beef was crazy..) 9/10
